United Way Recognizes Granite Partners with the North Star Award

We were honored to receive the North Star Award from United Way of Central Minnesota for ongoing efforts in the community. This award recognizes companies that “shine” all year long. We extend this recognition to the Granite Companies who actively volunteer and donate to United Way.
During the Granite Partners team meeting in June, we received a visit from our community partner, United Way of Central Minnesota. They presented the Granite Partners team with the North Star Award, which recognizes a company that “shines bright not only during its United Way campaign, but all year long.”*
Each year, Granite Partners and the Granite Companies participate in a regional United Way Days of Caring campaign, a week-long volunteering event. For the 2025 campaign, the Granite Partners team set up a volunteering station in Granite Innovations. The station included toiletry and snack bag-packing and tie blankets.

This power week of volunteering isn’t the only volunteering opportunity for Granite Partners and Granite Company team members. Other examples include charitable donations and foundations, Habitat for Humanity builds, trash pick-ups, tree plantings, and more. The Granite Companies’ benefits are structured to allow for Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and we encourage team members to volunteer and support non-profit organizations.

We want to acknowledge the Granite Companies for the strength of their volunteerism and community engagement. The companies include All Flex Solutions, AltimateMedical, DeZURIK, GeoComm, GEOTEK, Massman Companies, Microbiologics, Rotochopper, Strongwell, and Vector.
We are deeply grateful that United Way of Central Minnesota acknowledged our efforts, saying that “[our] culture embodies what it means to LIVE UNITED by creating opportunities for employees to volunteer, engage in United Way events, and make a lasting impact in our community.”

Founded in 1887, United Way has been serving thousands of communities globally, with a presence in 38 countries and an estimated 48 million lives benefitting from their work. With regional chapters present in every state, United Way helps strengthen community resilience.
Granite Partners and the Granite Companies have partnered with United Way since 2013. Sharing is an important part of the Granite culture, both in supporting team members and fostering community wellbeing.
*United Way of Central Minnesota recognized four companies and individuals in the region with community awards in 2026, presenting the North Star Award to Granite Partners on June 16, 2026. No fee was paid for the award.
